Stage Lab…
Plan the sound and light for any event, free
Stage Lab is a free planner from Mucanto for musicians, DJs and event planners. Enter how many guests you expect or the size of the space, choose its shape and where the stage is, and Stage Lab suggests the sound and lighting setup: speakers, subwoofers, monitors, front light and effects. You see live how many people the sound covers, how loud it is at the mixing desk, how much of the stage is lit and how much power you need.
For musicians and DJs
- Plan with your own gear and see what to bring or rent
- Input list, stage plot and monitor mixes from your lineup
- Cable lengths, delay times and power circuits
- Add your Mucanto profile to the plan
For event planners and venues
- Know what the music needs: space, stage, power and timings
- Place the dance floor, bar, buffet and exits
- Share one link: you and the musicians edit the same plan
- Print one Gig pack PDF for the venue and suppliers
How the numbers work
Stage Lab uses general figures for each type of gear, checked against datasheets of leading manufacturers, and standard methods: sound falling off with distance, speaker coverage angles, bass that adds up or cancels between subwoofers, light from beam angles, and the WHO safe listening level of 100 dB(A). It gives planning estimates, not a certified measurement: always do a sound check.
Estimates only. Stage Lab gives planning estimates, not a certified acoustic, electrical or safety assessment. Before the event, have the setup checked by a qualified sound engineer and a certified electrician, follow the venue’s rules and local law, and do a sound check. Mucanto accepts no liability for decisions based on these estimates.
