Editorial policy

We want every article on the Mucanto Blog to be accurate, original and useful to musicians and event hosts. This page explains how we work.

Accountability

The Mucanto Blog is published by Mucanto Single Member P.C., which is responsible for everything it publishes. Every article is reviewed and approved by the Mucanto editorial team. Nothing is published automatically.

How news articles are made, and how we use AI

Our daily news articles are produced with the help of AI. An AI assistant looks for recent news from reputable sources across Europe, compares at least two sources where possible and drafts an original article with practical advice. The draft is then reviewed by our editor, who checks the facts, the sources, the headline and the photo, edits where needed, and approves or rejects it.

  • These articles carry the byline Mucanto Newsroom (AI-assisted) and a note saying they were created with the help of AI and checked by an editor.
  • AI is never used to copy or rephrase another publisher's article, to imitate a real author, or to create fake quotes or images.
  • We also use AI tools for spell checking and translation.

Sources and originality

  • News articles are based on more than one source wherever possible, and no article relies on a single source for most of its content.
  • All sources are credited and linked in a Sources section at the end of the article.
  • We write in our own words. Quotes are short, in quotation marks and attributed.
  • We say clearly when something is uncertain or not yet confirmed.

Labels

Each article shows its type (for example News, Guide, Musician Spotlight or Guest article), its author and the date it was published. Opinion and analysis are labelled as such.

Photos

We use our own photos, photos supplied by the musicians and authors we feature, or photos with a free licence (public domain, CC0, CC BY or CC BY-SA, mostly from Wikimedia Commons). Third-party photos are always credited under the image. We do not use news-agency photos we have no rights to, and we do not publish AI-generated images presented as real.

Guest articles and Musician Spotlights

Anyone can send us an article or apply for a Musician Spotlight. Every submission is reviewed before publication. We may edit for clarity, length and accuracy, and we reject promotional or low-quality submissions. Guest authors are responsible for their own opinions, and links they add are marked as user-generated.

Independence

The blog is published by Mucanto, and some articles explain Mucanto features. Those articles are clearly about Mucanto. We do not accept payment for articles. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled as sponsored.

Translations

Articles are published in English and translated into other languages with DeepL. Each translated page links to the English original, and our editor can correct any translation.

Corrections

If you spot a mistake, email support@mucanto.com with the article link. We correct errors promptly. When we change an article in a meaningful way, it shows the date it was updated.
