What Mucanto is, who it's for, and how DJs, bands and solo artists get booked for events in the areas where they want to play.
Finding the right musician for an event usually means asking friends, scrolling social media and sending a lot of messages that never get an answer. For musicians, getting booked outside their own city often depends on luck and word of mouth.
Mucanto was built to fix both sides of that problem. It is an online marketplace where people planning an event can find and book live musicians, and where musicians can get discovered by clients in the places they actually want to play.
Who Mucanto is for
Musicians. DJs, bands and solo artists create a profile on Mucanto, which we call a gig. A musician can pick more than one role, so a singer who also DJs can show both. One account can hold several gig profiles, for example a solo project and a band.
Event hosts. Anyone planning a wedding, a private party, a corporate event, a bar night or a festival can search for musicians who play where the event takes place, compare what they offer and send a booking request.
How it works
Most booking platforms make musicians chase gigs. On Mucanto it works the other way around:
Musicians choose their areas. You add the areas where you are willing to play, as many as you like. For each area you can set a travel cost and your own price for every service you offer.
Clients search by event location. When someone plans an event, Mucanto shows them the musicians who are active in that area, with clear prices.
The client books. The client picks the services they want and sends a booking request. The musician can accept it manually or let Smart Booking Assist handle it automatically, based on their availability.
Payment is handled by the platform. Payments run through Stripe, so the musician doesn't need to chase money and the client knows exactly what they are paying for.
Live across Europe
Mucanto started in Greece and is opening to musicians and clients across Europe. Musicians decide where they want to be found, and Mucanto promotes them in those areas.
The platform is available on the web and as an app for iPhone and Android.
